Hi, The Firefox issue is probably some setting that is not allowing you to upload video. I use Firefox almost exclusively and haven't had any with blip but I have seen others who had settings that blocked interactive type functionality on various sites. As far as slow upload speeds with Internet Explorer, if your videos aren't huge it could be a number of things including slow connection, ISP blocking something, Windows settings, firewall settings, spyware & trojans eating up your bandwidth, etc. It could even be Internet Explorer.
To identify whether the browser is the problem, I suggest FTPing the videos. Instructions are here: http://blip.tv/ftp/ I use FileZilla as my FTP client - it's free and easy to use. Here's a video on how to set it up: http://blip.tv/file/367660/ If you are able to upload via FTP without issue, then the problem is your browser.
