Personally, I don't watch shows on a computer (except for online-only shows, then it's Miro), I prefer sitting on my couch and staring at the TV. It's how I grew up and it's a hard habit to change. I imagine that's the case for many of us. But I have several younger, college-aged friends and they often watch TV shows on their computer at NBC's or ABC's website.
