Hi Dina: I just realized that you primarily wanted a lavalier mic. The info below was primarily tested with an iRiver mp3 player/recorder, but it may be helpful for your videos. Regardless of what you choose, consider the effects of wind noise when outside. I'm sure some of the folks on this list can give you suggestions for not just the brand, but the type of mic and windscreen to consider in those situations.
I have had good success with this Lavalier mic The Audio Technica ATR-30 Unidirectional Microphone (about $30) (I also mention it on the same page I sent before- <http:// tinyurl.com/24kyyu> ). And there's a section on that page about my thoughts on the Giant Squid products. Not sure if the inexpensive ($13) Radio Shack 900MHz 8-Channel Wireless Audio-Link Transmitter wireless device will turn any of these into a good quality wireless mic, but someone else on the list might know.
