Yep, yep and yep...I tried everything but based on some feedback from 
Brian and Brook, I know think it was my adapter.  it was working for 
my handheld mic but that is mono and my Rode is stero, so I think 
that may be part of the issue based on what they are saying.  But I 
am thinking I may just need to buy a XLR mic and be done with 
it....man, I really liked my Rode Mic it does a great job....
