Yeah, I didn't mean to sound negative. The problem with asking people to contact you is that a lot of the people you need to speak to are quite modest, and wouldn't necessarily identify themselves as pioneers, or wouldn't answer a call for them to email you saying "I'm a pioneer!" - so the responses you get will be weighted towards people who are more comfortable with self-promotion.
The idea of pioneers is caught up with some kind of idea of hierarchy, or an in-crowd, something that a lot of people here have tried to resist. Which is maybe why Jay Dedman, who was central to this group, said 'fuck pioneers' the other day. Quite rightly, he doesn't want to be seen as any more important, valid or influential than anybody else. One of the best things that happened to open it all up was the mass migration of people to Twitter and their willingness to follow and be followed by lots of different people. The social and content stuff happens on Twitter, while the technical, marketing and philosophical discussions happen here. So I highly recommend researching it yourself via the archives of this group. The group's wiki also has a historical timeline of who did what, when which is worth checking out, but is also skewed towards those who have entered their own details. http://videoblogginggroup.pbwiki.com/ Rupert http://twittervlog.tv On 21-Oct-08, at 8:45 AM, Irina wrote: i am very supportive of people's projects i will help you identify people if you'd like to interview certain ones just email me offline :) irina On Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 8:38 AM, Richard (Show) Hall < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Well, for me, I would have to say my wife is the only pioneer in my life > .... > > On Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 5:26 PM, Rupert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]<rupert%40fatgirlinohio.org>> > wrote: > > > Was that a request? > > > > > > On 20-Oct-08, at 2:59 PM, Mike Moon wrote: > > > > This thread made me laugh... not because of what it's asking for, but > > it reminded me of last weekends Vlog Flash Meeting. > > > > jaydedman: fuck pioneers > > > > Mike > > http://vlog.mikemoon.net > > > > --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com <videoblogging% 40yahoogroups.com><videoblogging% > 40yahoogroups.com>, > > Rupert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > > Hey Syd, > > > > > > No link to the video. > > > If I were you, I'd contact and ask people individually.
