Talk about the devil... The first two times I tried to just download that video it crashed FF on Mac, finally got it to download with Safari. Then I had the same results as you except when exporting to whatever the default AVI setting is out of QuickTime Pro. That seemed to work but made the file bigger with lots a aliasing.
