I've used Panasonic miniDV tapes in the JVCHD100 just fine. HDV was a format
designed
to work within the 25mb/sec limitation of DV25. HDV and DV25 should in theory
work
with any miniDV tape and be interoperable.

As with all media, a good name brand will ensure better results (kinda goes
without
saying I know).

Might be worth looking over at adamwilt.com for any gotchas. He is the DV
cam/tape
master.
