My favorite recent one is La mémoire des anges / Memory of Angels. It`s about Montreal, using footage from over 140 NFB movies from the 1950s - early 1970s. If you want to see Genevieve Bujold in one of her earliest films (and not even on the IMDB) see this really moving film. But the film is not specific to Montreal, it depicts the vast changes in urbanization and culture evident in all citie.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
