Hi all I have been in contact with Rob Kasunic, one of the lead lawyers at the copyright office, regarding the status of our pitches (both East and West Coast) to relax DMCA strictures on taking DVD clips. Nothing yet. I'm not certain, Jessica, that recommendations made to the Librarian of Congress via the copyright office are necessarily vetted thru congress.
My hope ARE up that we'll get SOME movement on these issues (although maybe not as much as we'd hoped) Stay tuned. Gary > I would just say don't get your hopes up.
