I would send them to Seattle Community College TV <http://iriseducation.org>.
They have been streaming our academic video content since 2002 and have
always been very helpful and accommodating. A contact there is Rob
Rosamond.

Subject: [Videolib] advice on streaming for an independent,
self-distributing producer
To: [email protected]

**
Dear collected wisdom,

Where should I steer an independent producer who is looking for advice on
making her film available via streaming? She says:
"We are distributing the film ourselves, and have NO idea how this works. I
was wondering if you have any info re this, and/ or can direct us to a
resource where we can learn kind of general costs/ how-to, etc."

Thank you and best regards,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
