Hi Videolib-bers, I'm chairing the VRT "Notable Videos for Adults" committee, and I just wanted to encourage you all to submit more good nominations. So far, we have about 13 nominations, and in most years we get over 50 nominations. I'm accepting nominations until the end of NMM, but it helps a lot if we get the nominations in as soon as we can.
If you're not associated with the film, and you've seen any great documentary released on DVD within 2011 or 2010, please click on this link. http://www.tacoma.washington.edu/library/media/vrt/notable.cfm Check out our ALA page or email me directly if you have any specific questions. http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/rts/vrt/notablevideos/index.cfm Thanks, in advance, for your input, and thanks especially for being the coolest type of librarian that mankind has ever known: the video librarian. VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
