Gary,

It would be great if you could get them to hook up with an established
streamer. We tried to negotiate a streaming license with them recently
and it was clear that they did not understand the educational market,
pricing, etc. They have some great stuff and it would be wonderful to be
able to stream it.

Subject: Re: [Videolib] Experience with asiapacificfilms.com streaming
service?

Hi

I served as consultant for this enterprise in its start-up phase. I
think
their list of titles is interesting, albeit a bit uneven and off the
beaten track for mainstream Asian/Asian American studies. I believe
Rachel Gordon (a member of this list) is currently working with
APF...maybe you can contact her.

I'm currently trying to persuade Stephen Gong at the Center for Asian
American Media to hook up with an established streaming provider (ASP?)
THAT would be a real coup!!! CAAM's list is absolutely essential, in my
book, for any institution with interests in Asian American history and
social/cultural issues and events.

as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel
of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video
producers and distributors.
