Thanks, Blaine, I did find a copy of
that, and asked BFI for assistance on the other titles, though I'm
not holding my breath for good news. The professor also wants
Basil Wright's Song of Ceylon, and I find only BFI or poor
Youtube copies.

A
collection of six films (and one bonus film) by one of the
greatest figures in the celebrated British Documentary Film
Movement. He is most remembered for the way his work
reflects the concerns and conditions of World War II era in
the United Kingdom. In these pictures, Jennings's impressive
aesthetic arsenal helped to expand the scope and vocabulary
of documentary films.

hi VLers
Does anyone know of U.S. distribution of any Humphrey
Jennings films? A faculty member wants to show her class
Spare Time and others unspecified. I can find only
PAL/ Region 2 discs from BFI, which we don't routinely buy,
since our university classroom setups won't play them.
Alternatively, do you know if BFI will let us rip discs to
NTSC -- or who I could ask?
Thanks for your insights,
Deborah Benrubi
