Thanks, everyone, for your input. We're going to go ahead and use this
vendor and see how it goes, caveats and all.

Cheers,

Johanna

I was a bit nervous when I found the site. I went to ReferenceUSA to see if
they really were ok. I found that the phone number they listed for another
company name. So, I called and is the same company, so I felt they were
legit.
Videos came ok. My only disappointment was one of them seems like a Chinese
bootleg, with all the Chinese titles around the case etc.

For list searching, this seems to work:
http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/VideoLib/archive.html. There are older results
for "iranianmovies" through "Search the archive (1995 - 2009)" at the left
side.

Subject: [Videolib] Vendor Question

Hello,

I've been lurking on this list for a while, but have never posted. I'm the
Visual Resources Curator at Pratt Institute and was put in charge of the
film and video collection about a year ago.

I'm not sure if such a question is taboo or not, but we are looking to
purchase some films that are only available from iranianmovies.com, and I
was wondering if anyone who has worked with this vendor in the past would be
willing to share their experiences good and bad off list.

Also, I was trying to see if it is possible to search the list archives, but
I couldn't find an easy way to do this.

Thanks a bunch.

Johanna
