If you happen to be attending and would like to blog with OITP please
contact Larra Clark: [email protected]. I'm afraid I won't be there.

Subject: [wo_telecom] ALA at SXSW

Good morning everyone.

It's my pleasure to be joining ALA members and colleagues at the South by
Southwest (SXSW) Conference later this week. I'll be talking more about
unlicensed spectrum policy on a panel next Tuesday, and with Bonnie and
Sandy Tijerina on Monday morning as part of their fabulous Library
#IDEAdrop house <http://www.electroniclibrarian.com/erlplus/ideadrop2014>.
You can listen in, too, via their live stream at
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ideadrop.

Here's a link to the press release we put out yesterday with a few more
details:

*ALA joins SXSW technology policy discussions*
http://www.ala.org/news/press-releases/2014/03/ala-joins-sxsw-technology-policy-discussions

I expect to post a few blogs related to the SXSW experience/conversations,
but would invite other attendees to shoot me a note if you'd be willing to
blog with OITP.

Cheers, Larra

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
