Sorry if this is a double post but I don't see my first response

This is an illegal copy but that is not your problem in this case.
Increasingly out of print titles especially foreign and indie films are on
Amazon from Korea. It is relatively easy for a rights holder to have these
removed ( or at least is was when I did it). These films may be out of
print for rights reasons ( I suspect in this case US rights expired)
material problems or owners just not caring but if they can't be bothered
to remove illegal copies from Amazon then that is their issue. This is not
"Bob's hard to find videos" type piracy site hiding on the Internet and
selling nothing but bootlegs, this is the largest seller of DVDs.

However one should not confuse this with legal imported copies but those
would usually have format, titling and packaging points that would
distinguish them

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
