I don't automatically purchase all Criterion released. I buy everything 
requested for the Film faculty and then wait to order until I see how much is 
left in the budget towards end of fiscal year.

That said, I encourage you to look at Kanopy's patron-driven acquisitions model 
for streaming video. Criterion collection is included. There is no upfront 
cost, so you only pay for titles that actually get watched, which is pretty 
awesome.

purchase all CC films to acquire the remastered prints and bonus features, even 
if we already have an older DVD version in our collection? Any thoughts on pros
