Are you planning to attend a workshop?  Each of the pre-conference workshops 
must meet a minimum attendance by October 5th - so if you're planning to 
attend, register early.



Have you made your hotel reservation for Pittsburgh yet?  AMIA 2016 will be 
headquartered at the Omni  William Penn downtown.  The AMIA room discount ends 
next week, so reserve your room early online!  Information on the Roomshare 
Program is available on the conference website.



Considering a submission for Archival Screening Night? ASN will be on Thursday, 
November 10th at the Hollywood Theatre.  The submission form is now available 
on the website and submissions close Saturday



The 2016 AMIA Conference in Pittsburgh will include two days of pre-conference 
workshops, a half day Reel Thing Technical Symposium, Hack Day, four curated 
program streams, with three days of conference panels, presentations, 
screenings, posters, and events.  The Local Committee has been working hard on 
putting together a few tours and those will be announced very soon!



In an effort to make the annual conference accessible to as many as possible, 
AMIA's conference registration fees are on a sliding scale.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues 
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, 
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and 
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective 
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication 
between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and 
distributors.
