[VM] Working with GMail IMAP

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on getting VM to work
*nicely* with Gmail, given that Gmail,s IMAP implementation is
... special.

In particular I was wondering how to:

  * Properly delete messages.  When I use delete from within VM it
    will unlink the message from the Inbox but the message is still in
    the "All Messages" label.

  * How to avoid having messages I send as replies showing up as *new*
    messages in the inbox.
