Thank you sincerely. Is the Bonavita disc to which you refer the one that features both Sanz and de Murcia?

Yes - that's the one. The Sanz is even more over the top.

For the curious, Bonavita on Sanz:

<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JHXdCzC704>. On what labels are the Waters and Carter discs?

The Waters is quite an old recording (1996) - it's the Catalan label "La Ma de Guido"LMG 2017. I rather like it in spite of the high G string - he does some lovely campanellas.

The Carter is new - Linn Records CKD 288. He also uses octave stringing on the 3rd course but it is less obvious. I like it very much actually . He plays some of the arrangments of Corelli - for which the bass part is a welcome addition and the two instruments plucking together sounds lovely. He also plays a short suite of his own based on little pieces by Sanz.

Thanks again,
Eugene
