Yes, I not yet found how to "open" the edition of the wiki. So I have to give permission one by one. Normally, you now have ability to contribute to wiki. If you're interested in, it would be really nice to move contain from old wiki (http://viking.sf.net) to new one (https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/viking/) so we will be able to close the older. > a second question: > is there an unstable branch where new patches are gathered? > there are lots of patches around the tracker and mailing list. i find it hard > to get an overview without scanning all those lists. Viking management is quite simple: a single branch for development. IMHO, the unstable branches are hosted by any contributor in their own viking's public repo. Some contributors use repo.or.cz, Jocelyn uses GitHub. Do your choice. :-) > e.g. I think the pl scripts posted by lixus to purge unwanted tiles from the > cache / download areas in several zoom levels for offline use could go in the > tools dir of an 'unstable branch'. this would allow to fetch, test, endorse > or expand it whithout the need to publish this via the mailing list. Yes, I not yet reviewed the scripts sent by Lixus. You're right, I think we have to host such piece of code in the tools subdir. Following the level of skill expected by the scripts, we can also imagine: - to distribute them in the source tarball - to install them somewhere on the desktop of the final user. -- Guilhem BONNEFILLE -=- JID: gu...@im.apinc.org MSN: guilhem_bonnefi...@hotmail.com -=- mailto:guilhem.bonnefi...@gmail.com -=- http://nathguil.free.fr/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge This is your chance to win up to $100,000 in prizes!
