See http://geo.nls.uk/maps/api/ This can be made indirectly available via the Tools->Webtools menu to view Viking's current location in a web browser with the historic map. Simply put the attached external_tools.xml into your ~/.viking/ directory (or update your existing external_tools.xml with the NLS entry) It might also be useful to add it to example external_tools.xml in the git repository.
