Recently over the last couple of weeks viking has been mysteriously dieing on
me after it's been left running for some time (i.e. +5 minutes or more). First
I thought I just couldn't remember closing viking.

I than ran it in a debugger and caught the segmentation fault which is coming
from Curl_resolv_timeout() - which is part of libcurl.

Closer inspection of my system logs* shows numerous segfaults since updating to
curl 7.21.2 (which was updated in my Debian Unstable (Sid) system around 15th
October).
*As noted below.

Some basic googling shows the fault in Curl_resolv_timeout(), but should be
resolved in the current release - unless this is a specific Debian build issue.

I haven't had time to investigate further, and since I'm off on holiday for a
week I thought I should mention it, in case anyone else has the similar issues.

ATM I'm running the viking (latest git build) with profiling (via gprof) turned
on. Whether this profiling makes any difference I don't know yet.

Further there are also a couple of libgobject segfaults - I have no idea what
it causing these.
I presume the viking segfaults are from my own development builds before fixing
the expedia problem [git SHA c21cf4918f684f37705f62408a3ab6551599f2f0].
