Well, Tom Purl called the thing 'Vim Tips Wiki' which is its primary task.
But Wikis are dynamic by nature: I added the "Other Pages" Section in the
very beginning, but that has not been accepted too well by now. But I
could think of many other useful things, because vim has a strong
community but there is no collaborative platform.
Some ideas:
a Homepages for plugins and scripts. That way we can have issue
tracking,
comments, documentation etc for the plugins. [1]
b Userpages: Many users have their "look, i love vim" homepage. Are they
listed anywhere?
c Tutorials for (beginners, intermediates, experts) on specific subjects
d Advertising for Brams Uganda project.
e ... (everything that is done by "the community")
A feature of mediawiki we do not use yet, but could become useful in
future is "namespaces". We already use them for "Talk" and "User" etc.
But one (better wikia-staff) can configure new ones. Thus we could have
an "Tip" Namespace (perhaps in place of Category "VimTip"), a FAQ
Namespace, a Plugin Namespace etc.
a) is very powerful, and i would say we can think about it, when the tips
begin to become more stable. We would need again a lot of infrastructure
to make it a success.
b-e) could be done easily, "Other Pages" is the first stub.
Sebastian.
[1] Im playing around with dokuwiki ATM: They use the wiki to
explain/distribute plugins: http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:plugins
