Hi, this was not possible up to now. I have pushed a fix to this problem to the upstream git repository (https://github.com/vim-latex/vim-latex). However, this will not help you, since there will be some lag until this is included in package managers.
So you could also try to convince/force your admin to install the most recent version of latex-suite (or, of course, to remove it).
