The reason I brought this up is that someone (Bram?) mentioned that the
hosted solution at Wikibooks doesn't have some security/spam features of
mediawiki enabled so hosting it separately for Vim was considered a
better option, but no completely free hosting services were found. Also,
this will allow us to host even scripts such as those that we use to
rate the tips on the same server (which might not be an option on
wikibooks).

However, migrating from Wikibooks to any other mediawiki host (whether
self-hosted or another 3rd party) should be straight-forward (right?),
so this might not be a big deal after all.
