Well, switching to git will definitely be a great pain for Bram.  We
had tried all kinds of efforts to persuade him to switch to Subversion
but failed.  He said that he invented a bunch of scripts collaborating
with CVS so switching to any other version control system would cause
a lot of trouble to him.

And solving such problem doesn't require any advanced distributed
version control system.  The only thing we need to do is just
persuading Bram to submit some "not-well-tested-yet" code to the
repository timely, marking that branch (or simply "trunk" in svn) as
"experimental".  But Bram seems not quite like the idea of "release
earlier, release often".
