Personally, I suspect that such an agreement is what is lacking in order to get more people to test out patches. If gut supports something like trac, that would be a neat way to get comments about the patches going. Otherwise, they could be put onto wiki discussions, into a forum or patches could be integrated in whatever is done with the scripts section.
