Hello sc, you don't need to reinstall/upgrade whole operating system to openSUSE 11.1 - there are repositories for 10.3 as well, in BuildService. Try
http://software.opensuse.org/search and look for 'git' for openSUSE 10.3 (in a combo below the search box). On the result page, the first one is git 1.5.2.4 but the second result is git 1.6.1.3; you can click to "one click install" button then. Unfortunately, openSUSE 10.2 is not on the list of products in BuildService. If you need 10.2, I suggest to get a source package from the project 10.3, install it (it makes files and dirs unders /usr/src/packages/) and run rpmbuild -bb /usr/src/packages/SPECS/git....spec (check the exact name) It should create new binary packages for your system which you can install then. Happy gitting :-) Milan Vancura -- Milan Vancura, Prague, Czech Republic, Europe --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message from the "vim_dev" maillist.
