It looks like the closest I can find in Vim's help documents is :help MS-Windows (execute that command in Vim, or look at the "os_win32.txt" file in the "doc" directory of Vim's installation). This help file is very outdated. It looks like the highest version mentioned by name is Windows ME (and Windows 98). Despite this, Windows XP has been supported for a long time, Vista seems to work fine, and Windows 7 I assume by extension will work (I have not used Vim on Windows 7). Maybe the fact that Vim supports 64-bit Windows will help? There is a 'win64' feature which you can test for support for from within Vim. The release notes for v7.2 include numerous MS-Windows fixes. I believe the notes for previous releases do as well: ftp://ftp.vim.org/pub/vim/patches/7.2/README -- You received this message from the "vim_dev" maillist. Do not top-post!
