I personally don't think that the perfect .vimrc should be shipped with Vim - because it will always be personal. I've had ideas such as creating a .vimrc builder which would look like this: [ ] include recommended setup most vimmers agree on plugin management systems [ ] include vam setup [ ] inculde pathogen setup [ ] inculde vundle setup [ ] include settings to make working with large files easier [ ] include code to always jump to last know cursor location when opening a file a second time [ ] ... ...
