Thanks for the links, they seem almost as comprehensive as possible.

I agree it's often too tempting to cross the line of personal taste, but
there are a few options and mappings widely used in the vim community, a
"de facto standard" if I'm translating correctly. Your links would be a
good basis to add examples in the vim repo.

As an alternative, the link to wiki/vimrc could be mentioned in
"vimtutor", below the reference to $VIMRUNTIME/vimrc_example.vim. Just a
minimal quick starter pending more serious things, and more customized
vimrc ...
