Just by random trial and error, I found a rough fix(?) (I have no knowledge
about the code, so this should mess something up?) But I hope this will
help.
(From Christian's patch) In os_unix.cc at resetup_term_clip(), add the
below code, (at the start of the method)
if (app_context != (XtAppContext)NULL){
XtDestroyApplicationContext(app_context);
app_context = (XtAppContext)NULL;
}
If you do so, then vim seems to work on remote servers.
