Do you also consider this discussion a "pissing contest"? I suppose
you also consider the opinions of contributors to this discussion
"piss"?

Incidentally, I repeat: "Mercurial was the choice for the previous
generation of Vim developers". I did *NOT* say that Mercurial was
itself an older tool than git, or any other tool. I say again that
git has advanced where Mercurial has not, and this is significant
when trying to get a new generation of developers to contribute to
this project, and is important for securing Vim's future.

What would be constructive is putting your personal opinions aside
and to consider the wider picture which includes *everybody*,
Mercurial supporter or not.
