While being in the command mode, I used to select a number somewhere (usually line number in other terminal) and paste it to vim while holding shift. Then I pressed G and it jumped to the line number. But starting with revision 210, this does not work anymore. When I paste the number, it is put into the text, not into the command buffer. I always had mouse=a. Reverting to the older version, while preserving the configs, makes it work again. I found out that it is caused by the new feature: commit ec2da36ca48b40c0654b32a8d2c9f52e796daa5e Author: Bram Moolenaar <[email protected]> Date: Sat Jan 21 20:04:22 2017 +0100 patch 8.0.0210: no support for bracketed paste Problem: Vim does not support bracketed paste, as implemented by xterm and other terminals. Solution: Add t_BE, t_BD, t_PS and t_PE. If I 'set t_BE=', it works again. I am not sure if this is a bug or feature to set it for everybody, but IMO, bracketed mode should be enabled only in insert mode and I do not see any option to do so. -- -- You received this message from the "vim_dev" maillist.
