Hmm, I don't think that clicking somewhere in the window should abort
the command line.  Doesn't this make copy&paste (modeless selection)
difficult?  What if you try to click in the command line to move the
cursor, but accidentally click a bit too high?

Since the user is typing on the command line, a simple Esc takes you
out.  Why would you grab the mouse?
