Tabs are not correctly expanded with 2html

Using GVim 8.1.<latest> (Windows 10 64-bit), after applying a syntax scheme, 
2html.vim fails to correcly expand the tabs contained in the base document.

Sample files:

- sample.lang    # The source file
- lang.vim       # The syntax file
- [sample.htm]   # Resulting output file
