Thanks for reporting, and for the clear reproducible example. I see slightly different behavior, but still wrong, on my end, probably due to differing settings. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. :-( I entered an issue in my tracker: https://bitbucket.org/fritzophrenic/vim-tohtml/issues/19/expand-tabs-broken-for-long-tabstops If this is a show-stopper for you you can try downloading an older copy of the scripts.
