I just did, and as you suspected, the operation is the same.

But it *was* different. I frequently modify my course web pages and 
then, in another window, tidy and upload them. Post-tidy, I either have 
to ":e" to see the changes or overwrite the tidied doc (which will just 
get tidied again). I would do this multiple times a day, and I never had 
the issue with MacVim popping up W11.

HOWEVER, because of the bugs mentioned in this thread (the "Command 
terminated" problem), I had to get rid of one plugin (hgcommand.vim) in 
order to run MacVim-37. I also did some house cleaning and got rid of 
some other plugins. It's POSSIBLE that one of those plugins was able to 
suppress this message (somehow). <?>

So maybe I'll restore all of those plugins and go back to M-36. :(
