Thank you for putting it so nicely (instead of something like "this st**pid piece of *### crashed again")...my feelings are not hurt. ;-) Some questions for you: 1. Is this happening every time you invoke help or is it intermittent? 2. Have you tried starting without plugins/rc-files (use "mvim -u NONE")? 3. Can you describe what exactly you mean by "gvim freezes" (is only one window affected or do all open windows freeze...can you quit MacVim)? 4. Are there any messages logged to the console (open Console.app and look around)? 5. Does the problem occur in terminal mode as well (enter "/Applications/MacVim.app/Contents/MacOS/Vim" in Terminal, assuming you've put MacVim.app in "/Applications")?
