I -want- to like iTerm. I really do. I want the 256 color support in the terminal. So, periodically I download it and see if it passes muster. The two issues I have pretty consistently are: 1. It is noticeably slower to render than Terminal.app. 2. It occasionally crashes on me. I don't really have any more information than that -- you asked why I have a bad perception of it, so there it is. Maybe they'll add 256 color support to Terminal.app in snow leopard. That'd make me happy. > Also I don't find it slow... certainly cat'ing large files or > scrolling a large file in vim aren't noticeably slower than any other > terminal. > > Anyway the point was that while not quite as nice - you can get more > or less the same usability as macvim through vim in an ssh session. > > Cheers > > Robin > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message from the "vim_mac" maillist.
