You're right, this seems to be a font issue. When changing the font to something other than Monaco, everything's fine, So it seems lika a problem with that font. I recently noticed that the quotes do look different than before, so *something* could've happened with my fonts.
I just noticed, too, that the same problem happens everywhere where Monaco is used... So no Problem with Vim...
