Hi all, When I type large amount of text (e.g., LaTeX), I use wrapping instead of breaking lines. As a result, I get long 'real' lines spanning multiple 'visual' lines. I also use :set display=lastline, so that I can see as much as possible of the last 'real' line.
My problem is that I can't find something equivalent for the top of the window. When I move my cursor down, 'visual' lines appear one by one, but when I move my cursor up, 'real' lines appear at once, resulting in a large number of 'visual' lines appearing suddenly. This is not smooth at all when editing, especially when using a non-zero value for scrolloff. Is there something I can do to fix this? Shouldn't there be an option like 'firstline' that could be added to display? Thanks. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
