I hesitated before joining into this discussion, but decided that I do want to point out that this is a discussion list devoted to vim and that in vim, there is a simple command to delete everything from the current line to the end of the file (dG). Two keystrokes is all it demands of your time. Perhaps the root of the problem is that some people are using email clients that don't allow them to use vim to edit their email? Subscribers to this list should be strongly encouraged to stop using any such crippleware! Myself, I use mutt.
