I just started using LaTeX and vim-latex and the computer it's on is
elsewhere, so I can't answer your original question. However, there
is a user mailing list. See

and note the comment, "vim-latex-devel[AT]lists.sourceforge.net ...
is not meant to be a developers only list as the name might imply."
