I'll leave that decision to John and Bram. I support the idea, anyway,
because I don't really see the need for huge attachments: we have a
files area for that kind of things.

I actually checked if an option existed, but I didn't find any. Maybe
John knows how to do it if at all possible.

The problem is that if the policy is approved we have no way of
enforcing it for non-moderated members, and check each and every message
on the list to check if it doesn't contain an attachment would be a huge
job and will delay replies to the list, minutes on the best case, a
couple of days in the worst case. The delay for moderated members may
seem long right now, and the number of messages from moderated members
is reasonably low, so imagine what would happen if all messages were to
be moderated...

Without Google Groups making this job automatic, it is almost impossible
to do. We would need a dozen moderators and that would be a nightmare...

I'll keep that in mind and let's see if any member comes with a
solution.
