I'm intrigued by this customisation. I have a compilation of vim without OLE that I use on my USB stick. This has: x:\vim\vim72\... x:\vim\vimfiles\... x:\vim\_vimrc x:\vim\_gvimrc (where x: is whatever drive letter the USB stick is allocated). These files are identical to the ones I have installed on the hard drive of the PC (except that gvim.exe doesn't have OLE compiled in) and in the same location (except replace x: with c:). I've never needed to set up environment variables or anything else and I get all of my customisations. So what is the launcher doing? What environment variables are being set?
