What Fuzzy Logic said is correct: For whatever reason, you will never receive messages that you send from a gmail account to a Google Group (that is, you will not receive your own message). You can confirm that your messages are sent immediately at: http://groups.google.com/group/vim_use Except (as Raúl explained): The first message from a new user may have to wait several hours until a manager is available. Google Groups has a fundamental problem, namely the amount of spam is phenomenal, and it is absolutely essential that each new user has their first message manually checked.
