I am _very_ curious about that. Since I am totally unable to find more details, either on the doc or on the web, I got the vim source code from cvs, and used "cvs annotate" to see who wrote this part of runtime/doc/autocmd.txt. According to the log, it's "vimboss". Do you know him? Is that Bram Moolenaar or am I mistaken?
