Because it's an expression, you should be able to do whatever you 
want with it (print it, assign it to a variable, do arithmetic on 
it, etc)

I don't claim to be a SQL guru, though I can hold my own in SQL 
Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL (haven't ever bothered to use DB2 or 
Oracle).  I also don't make use of the SQL plugin that was 
recently being discussed on this mailing list.  If it's Vim+SQL 
related, I'd ask here, but start a fresh thread.  If it's not Vim 
related, I'd be willing to try my hand at it off-list to keep 
down the chaff here, but you might get better help on a 
SQL-specific mailing list.
